The Young Farmer Committee is charged to provide opportunities for leadership development, actively participate in the programs of their organization and to plan and execute a program of activities that will involve the participation of a maximum number of young farmers as an integral part of the entire Farm Bureau program.
Appointees to the county Young Farmer Committee should be interested in working with young farmers. They should range from 18-35 years of age and understand the need for young farmer leadership as an integral part of the Farm Bureau organization. They should have the ability to organize other young farmers and to increase young farmer participation at the county Farm Bureau level.
- Committee chair should attend monthly county Farm Bureau board meetings, or a speciified committee member
- Attend 2-3 committee meetings per year on an as needed basis.
- Attend District Young Farmer meeting (committee chair).
