2019 Lansing Legislative Seminar

Lansing Legislative Seminar provides an opportunity to learn from expert speakers on policy issues impacting agriculture, help legislative and regulatory leaders understand Farm Bureau policy, and share ideas and talk about local issues with fellow members.

Registration Includes

  • Buffet lunch and program
  • Breakout sessions (Potential topics: Right to Farm protection and zoning, funding for the Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development and Michigan State University, business planning issues, and environmental topics such as MAEAP funding and water quality.)
  • Legislative reception with non-alcoholic refreshments and hot and cold hors d'oeuvres.

Optional Morning Activities

  • State Capitol building walking tour - departs from Lansing Center at 8:45 a.m.
  • Michigan Supreme Court tour - departs from Lansing Center at 9:00 a.m.
  • NOTE: Both tours are capped at 40 participants!
Additional Notes
  • Vegetarian and GF options available in the lunch buffet
  • If you are registering a member from the UP or North region please confirm if they will be riding on the charter bus that departs from Escanaba and makes stops in St. Ignace, Cheboygan and Gaylord.

Charter bus is available for UP and North region members. The bus will depart the Gold Star Garage at 5:00 a.m. located at 6684 N75 Dr. in Escanaba. The bus will make the following stops (times approximate and weather dependent): 7:40 a.m. St. Ignace (Big Boy) 8:15 a.m. Cheboygan (Exit 326) 9:05 a.m. Gaylord (Quality Inn)
